Tayla is a 22 year old student currently studying at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently doing her honours this year in International relations. She has a part time au-pairing job in Sandton aside from my studies which are full time. Her mental health journey has been quite sound and stable throughout my life. She has, however, hit many bumpy roads. The biggest being after an extremely abusive and toxic relationship in 2019 which caused a downward spiral for her. Her mental health took at big turn after suffering from GBV and the PTSD that comes with it. Thankfully she has people around her who have pushed her back to feeling like herself again. Her social interests include art, music and politics. Her hobbies include painting, reading, photography, hockey (she plays for the university) and picnics.
